Managing a Software Defined Network
In the portal, SDN's are managed through the Networks page.
To get there:
- Networks from the main, left-hand navigation.
- Select the network from the first column.
General
The identifier can not be changed after the network is created. The name field, however, can be updated at any time and has no impact on the use of the network.
Scope
Changing the cluster here will also force the user to change all associated environments, as environments belong to clusters.
Network Information
Field | Description |
---|---|
VXLan Tag | A unique identifier for the VXLAN network, used to segment virtual networks. |
Subnet | The hexadecimal identifier for the subnet associated with this network. |
IPv6 IP | The specific IPv6 address assigned to the interface. |
IPv6 CIDR | The IPv6 network range in CIDR notation, indicating the network's prefix length. |
MAC ADDR SUFFIC | A portion of the MAC address that could be used to uniquely identify network interfaces. |
Access Control Lists
SDN networks support ACLs.
Delete
Using the form, the user can delete the network. This is not protected in any way so submitting a delete to a network that is being used will not be stopped by the platform.
