Editing Stages and Steps
Use the pipeline editor to create (or remove) stages and steps.
To get there:
- Pipelines from the main, left-hand navigation.
- Select the pipeline from the first column.
- Editor from the horizontal navigation on the pipeline dashboard.
Options on the Editor Page
Both stages and steps can be marked skip or delete. Use the toggle to make these distinctions. Any step marked delete will be removed upon the next save.
Using the Step Create Wizard
Each step has a unique form, but many of the forms have similar mechanics.
| Field | Description |

| Step Reference | Refers to an identifier used to consume the product of a step in a future step. For example, the step Create and Import Image can have a step reference that allows that image to be used by a future Reimage Container step. |
| Pipeline Variables | Fields with the icon </> work with pipeline variables. |
| Resource Targets | When using the portal editor, resources can be targeted using the Resource option and the proper identifier. |
