Creating a Software Defined Network
Creating a software defined network in the Cycle portal is done through the create wizard.
To get there:
- Select the Networks tab from the main, left-hand navigation.
- Click the Create button at the top of the first column.

When creating a Cycle Network, the user is defining a name, cluster, and identifier to be used during the construction of a the new private network.
The identifier must be unique among Cycle environments on the hub and is used when making http requests on the private network.
To create a network:
- Select to the Networks tab from the left side navigation and click Create Network.
- Fill in a name and select the cluster for this network.
- Add up to 8 environments to the network.
Users can also set access controls during network create.
