Voices of the Community: Cycle.io in 2024 and Beyond

The customer is the lifeblood of any company, and a good customer has the potential to make a huge impact on the direction and success of your business. Here at Cycle.io, we are no exception. We believe that when you come to Cycle, you are not only getting great tech but also receiving an excellent customer experience. The customers we work with every day are paramount in driving innovation and keeping us honest.

The customer-facing team spends countless hours talking to our users, gaining feedback, and providing guidance where we see fit. Transparency and direct communication lines are values we hold to a high standard at Cycle. We understand that without honest feedback, there can be no bleeding-edge changes or improvements.

Recently, we conducted a brief internal survey to poll some of our "power users" to see what they enjoyed most about Cycle as we reflect on 2024 and what the most anticipated feature release of 2025 might be. Our sample included a Head of Engineering, Lead Engineer, CTO, and other engineering management personnel.

Looking back on 2024, there were many impactful updates to the platform that contributed to a more comprehensive DevOps experience. When we polled our users, the most common theme was centered on enhancements to observability.

Until recently, users often relied on third-party observability tools to handle monitoring and logging tasks. The Cycle engineering team has been tirelessly adding graphs, charts, and surfacing new data so that users can more easily monitor the status of their infrastructure and applications—without needing extra tooling.

2024 was transformative for us as a company, and we are determined to carry that momentum into 2025.

In 2025, as we continue to evolve as a platform we are more focused than ever on user experience.

From CTOs to Lead Engineers, our users provided thoughtful and hopeful insights about what to expect from Cycle in the New Year.

While there wasn't a single dominant theme when we polled our users for 2025, several larger themes stood out and helped paint a picture of Cycle's vision for the new year: All-in-One Platform. Observability. Control. Flexibility.

Users are getting closer to experiencing a truly all-in-one DevOps solution with Cycle. In 2025, our goal is to make this vision feature-complete. From the ability to monitor and diagnose issues with their applications to having full control over deployments and the flexibility to make changes as needed, Cycle aims to simplify the CNCF landscape, eliminating the need for additional tools in your tech stack

The all in one DevOps platform that Cycle aims to be will allow users to create their own virtual clouds. Most exciting to our users being the ability to consume compute from on prem and multiple public clouds, for various infrastructure options depending on a company's goals.

While our roadmap isn't public, we do our best to keep users informed about what's next for our platform. Users can engage with our team and stay updated through our public Slack or the Cycle Community.

Below are some notable quotes from our users, showcasing their perspectives:

“[In 2024] We loved the speed of delivery and options added to "debugabbility" most exciting [in 2025] would on-premise for us and extending our enterprise use case. Also we're pretty stoked to see in-house logging solutions we can do work with.” - Jeff Klink, VP Cloud of Sera4.

“The monitoring rollout was certainly a boost for platform usage with the potential of being able to replace other monitoring stacks.” - Dennis Staiger, Head IT Services & System Architecture of Ajila.

"I'm excited to see the continued evolution of the monitoring and observability tools—notably the forthcoming foray into alerting.” - Casey Dement, Head of Engineering of Busify.

"I'm looking forward to [the flexibility] provided with tags in scoped variables to filter which containers will be able to use a specific scoped variable.” - Galileo Sanchez, Lead Backend Engineer of Glui.

"What we really appreciate is how all of the features are seamlessly integrated, and everything works together. We enjoy having a one-stop solution for our CI/CD, orchestration, and DNS management requirements all in one place.” - Tom, CTO of Solexperts.

The Cycle team couldn't be more excited about the next phase of development and growth for the platform. We're incredibly thankful for the great users who make this all possible and provide clear, actionable feedback that helps us make the platform better for everyone.
