Cycle.io, a DevOps control plane solution, today announced the release of its AI interface that allows users to use natural language to deploy applications and manage infrastructure. The feature connects AI assistants such as Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, and Codex directly to the Cycle platform. Teams can now provision, deploy, troubleshoot, and monitor infrastructure in plain language, condensing work that traditionally took hours into just minutes.
Manual infrastructure management frequently diverts engineering resources away from core product development. Troubleshooting a single error or repeating manual deployment steps significantly reduces team velocity. Furthermore, configuring networks across multi-cloud environments introduces substantial operational delays.
Cycle's hosted MCP server changes that. Because the Cycle platform is natively multi-cloud, this AI capability works instantly across all major hyperscalers in a fully standardized manner. Users can deploy and manage resources across different cloud providers using the exact same natural language commands, completely eliminating configuration drift. Ask "Why is my API container restarting?" and the assistant pulls logs, telemetry, and diagnostics from the desired Cycle hub, then explains what it found. Ask it to deploy a new version, spin up an environment, migrate an instance, or update DNS records, and it does the work through Cycle's platform.
We built Cycle because simple platforms limit what you can build, and complex platforms limit how fast you can build it. Cycle's goal is to sit perfectly between those two extremes, and offer teams an opinionated platform with enough escape hatches for customizability, if needed. This new AI capability is a natural extension of that philosophy.

An assistant, not an autopilot
The MCP server takes on the slow, repetitive steps that slow down development teams. However it does not take over the infrastructure. Teams decide exactly what the assistant can touch through three access tiers:
- Read: inspect environments, containers, servers and virtual machines, plus logs, metrics, telemetry and DNS zones
- Write: deploy applications, create and reconfigure environments and containers, migrate instances and manage DNS
- Exec: run shell commands inside containers and open VM console access
“Cycle is a declarative platform that allows people to do sophisticated and complex things with their infrastructure without having to become DevOps experts in the process. With the new MCP, teams are able to move even faster, while still having a solid foundation to build upon”.
- Jake Warner, CEO and Founder of Cycle.
