Load Balancer - Public IP Addresses

Hey all, we were wondering whether every load balancer instance gets a separate public IP address. If we have multiple LB instances, do they all have separate public IPs, or are all instances available via the same IP address?

    Hey Tom, great question!

Each load balancer will be assigned its own IP address.

Its worth mentioning another control you have as a Cycle user when it comes to the load balancer If you go to any environment and click "Manage" next to the load balancer you can control the way the type of IP address assigned. By default IPv4 and IPv6 is assigned to each load balancer, but toggling either checkbox "Public IPv4" or "Public IPv6" and then "Updating" will control that setting. For example, if you only have Public IPv4 checked the load balancer will not get a Public IPv6 address assigned (and vise versa).

Hope this answers the question and thanks again for your contribution!
