We're thrilled to announce that we've added Cherry Servers, a European infrastructure provider, as another native integration to the Cycle platform. With this integration, Cycle clients have more choice in where, and how, they deploy their applications as Cherry offers a variety of bare metal server configurations across 7 data centers located around the globe.
For a more formal announcement, please see our joint press release with Cherry Servers.
Giving teams more deployment options and capabilities.
With the addition of Cherry Servers, Cycle clients gain access to several new locations. Focused primarily on the European market, Cherry operates facilities in the Netherlands, Sweden, Germany, and Lithuania, alongside global locations in the United States, Japan, and Singapore. To help clients meet strict compliance requirements, all Cherry data centers are ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 9001, and SOC 2 Type II compliant, with select locations offering additional certifications such as PCI DSS.
Beyond expanding geographic reach, Cherry Servers gives Cycle clients access to greater bare metal capacity and model variety. With entry-level bare metal starting at around $185/month for eight physical cores and 64GB RAM, this integration helps teams significantly reduce infrastructure spend compared to global hyperscalers.
A pathway to data sovereignty and privacy.
With growing concerns around the U.S. CLOUD Act, many organizations, especially those in Europe, are seeking to reduce their reliance on U.S.-owned infrastructure. Cherry Servers offers Cycle clients a pathway to hosting where the underlying infrastructure is strictly non-U.S. owned.
As we've seen with organizations like iPaper, hosting on physical infrastructure in Europe simply isn't enough. An application hosted on AWS within Germany, for example, is still subject to the U.S. CLOUD Act because Amazon is a U.S. corporation. Through partners like Cherry Servers, teams building on top of Cycle are able to maintain full data sovereignty over their workloads, without adopting a massive amount of technical complexity in the process.
From Cycle’s perspective, our role is strictly the control plane, and we aim to keep it that way. We don't own your infrastructure, your networks, or your data. Furthermore, we don't have access to any data within your hub unless explicitly granted through your security policies. Cycle exists as an orchestrator and observability platform, to automate hosting on your behalf.
How to get started with Cherry Servers.
The Cherry Servers integration is live now for all Cycle customers.
